1.  Hold governments to the highest standards of consultation and accommodation when there are plans to develop traditional territories

2.  Under section 81 of the Indian Act Band Councils should develop environmentally sound bylaws in regard to:

(a) control of noxious weeds

(b) water supplies

(c) fish and game conservation

(d) building construction

3.  Develop a Community Land Use Planning Initiative

4.  Create a Community Environmental Watchdog Group

5.  Communicate traditional environmental protection wisdom to existing and future generations

6.  Practice traditional harvesting methods

7.  Catalogue and record medicinal plants within traditional territories

8.  Catalogue and record wildlife habitat within traditional territories

9.  Install rainwater catch-basins for those uses of water that don't involve human consumption

10.  Establish a centralized recycling centre when feasible
